Developing mini-sites using Wordpress MU

In my quest for knowledge in the domining area, I spend a lot of time reading the blogs of established domainers. This could easiliy become a full time job, but I try to focus on the blogs matching what I’m doing at the moment and learning about right know. Two of the blogs I’ve found really interesting  Wannadevelop.com and Predictivedomaining.com. Take a look if you haven’t already. I’m all into purchasing decent domain names and develop them into nice and informative mini-sites right now.

I’ve used Wordpress to setup many sites before, but when I read the post about using Wordpress MU for developing mini-sites something clicked. Wow, that’s exectly what I need right now - a solution for fast and easy development and minimun maintenance.

So, I’ve now spent a few days learning how to setup Wordpress MU so that I can use on installation of Wordpress to serve all my mini-sites. Yes, that’s correct! I only need to add themes, plugins and updates once and then all of my minisites will be updated. It’s awesome. This will really speed things up for me from now on.

The installation is pretty trivial. Goto Wordpress MU homepage and install it, then download and install the Multisite Manager. Do some tweaking and your set (for life?).

Wow, great stuff. I’ve been looking for a personal parking and development solution for all my domains. This way I’ll be able to park my domains by myself and keep 100% revenue. Do you know of any good installations guides for WP MU and many domains?
